TAKING CARE OF YOUR POWs

We are working on a manual on how to properly take care of your earrings. But here is a quick version.
Clean the silver hook - use silver cleaning products (we love using cleaning wipes).
Clean the vinyl - for fresh stains, a damp SOFT cloth usually does the trick. Gently wipe, careful not to press too hard as this can damage the vinyl. We're currently testing Pure Effects products for tougher stains. Stay tuned for more

You can easily clean them. Silver is a precious metal that naturally oxidizes and darkens over time.
You can restore their shine by polishing with silver cleaning productsβwe recommend Connoisseurs Jewellery Wipes, which allow you to clean just the hook without touching the vinyl.

Sometimes you might notice dark spots on the inside of your POWs. This is completely normal and happens because of the natural reaction between the steel rings and air over time. The good news is that these marks can easily be cleaned!
To clean your POWs, simply use a soft cloth slightly damp. Gently wipe the affected areas, then dry thoroughly with a clean soft cloth. It's best to clean them as soon as you notice the spots, since they become harder to remove over time.
Don't worry thoughβthe spots only appear on the inside of the earrings, so you can also leave them as they are.

While we previously offered a POW bag for storing earrings, we're currently working on developing new storage solutions that will be available soon. For now, we recommend keeping your POWs in their original packaging for the best protection.
Storage tips:
- Keep them in their original box to protect from dust and particles
- Store away from other metal jewelry, as this can cause the silver hooks to tarnish faster (though they can be cleaned)
- Avoid leaving them in open spaces where they might collect dust

MATERIAL & INNOVATION

All our earrings have hooks made of 925 sterling silver, which means they're 92.5% silver and 7.5% other materials. This is the most common silver combination because pure silver alone would be too softβthe other materials help keep it stable. While our community reports no reactions to our earrings, we can't guarantee they're suitable for those with hypersensitive skin.

We use a vinyl in our earrings making them lightweight. Our high-tech plastic is originally produced in Germanyβand we love the unique look and feel it gives our earrings!
However, we know that plastic has its environmental downsides, and since the beginning, we have done our best to find alternative materials.
We tried colored paper, as well as eco-friendly plastic, but unfortunately, nothing else has been able to support our current quality and design requirements.
At the moment, there is no perfect solutionβbut weβre always talking to our suppliers about newer, more sustainable alternatives.
We also have our REHOOP collection made out plastic waste, in collaboration with Gotland Garbage.

We're constantly searching for high-quality clip-on options that meet our standards. The ideal clips would need to be:
-Durable enough to withstand regular use without breaking
-Comfortable - not too tight or too loose
-Aesthetically pleasing with a well-designed base plate
-Manufactured in Europe to maintain our quality standards
Despite extensive research, we haven't found clips that meet all these criteria yet. We're committed to only offering products that provide the best possible experience for our customers. We love it! That's why we started our Facebook group, POW RE-LOVE, to sell and buy POW-earrings from each other.
This group is driven by the community and we don't take any fees in joining or selling. We just love seeing our earrings get a second life and bringing joy to new POW lovers. It's all about creating a sustainable cycle where our pieces can continue to sparkle in new homes!
